Bell Tent FAQ

Thanks for your order! Whilst these are a leisure stove rather than a domestic stove, we always guide customers to follow building regulation specifications wherever possible. Obviously our stoves are fitted into many different types of fittings such as tents etc, but for your fitting of the log cabin using a heat shield behind we recommend the following guidelines Stove The Shield should be a min 1.5mm thickness galvanised steel and affixed with non combustible fittings Shield should be open top and bottom to allow flow of air There shall be no protrusions above the shield to prevent air flowing behind the shield If these caveats are met then clearance to combustibles can be reduced to 95mm between stove and heat shield or 65mm Single skin flue pipes When the stove is connected to the chimney via a single skin steel pipe, this must be at least three its diameter (4 inch) from combustible materials. 3 x 4 inch = 12 inch from combustible materials.
