Canvas tents are more ‘fire retardant’ than polyester tents which is why so many people are choosing them over man made materials and are happy to fit wood burning stoves into them.  This means that the canvas would take longer to set alight although you could eventually burn it. 

The 'Stove Mate' Flue Flap, fitted in all our stove hole tents has been especially designed to fit a stove into a regular canvas tent. The 'Stove Mate' position ensures the stove is far away enough from the tent walls and offers a fireproof patch around the chimney flue. When used in conjunction with a stove flashing kit it will ensure the flue will not touch the canvas.

The 360gsm fireproof range is chemically treated during the manufacturing process with Proban that will inhibit any flames from eventually starting so the canvas will not ignite.
